Refilling your own edible ink cartridge can save you a substantial amount of money. The four color set bottles of ink contain 60ml of each edible color- Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. Each bottle has the capacity to refill your ink cartridge approximately 4 times for about the same cost as one cartridge. The edible ink refill bottles let you to easily refill the inks in each cartridge without having to purchase replacement cartridges each time you run out. So, you get freedom from purchasing replacement cartridge for four refill cycles. These inks are not harmful and are FDA compliant.
For refilling your edible ink cartridge, always follow step by step instruction as directed by the manufacturer. Before begin with, make sure the edible ink cartridge is clean and well set for refilling. Check out the wicks at the outlet holes to find out whether each color is pure and clear. Now, with the edible ink cartridge upright, carefully insert needle 1/8″ through the wick. Remove remaining color to be sure the edible ink cartridge is fully empty. Rinse the cartridge under warm water, dry with paper towel.
When you start to refill, first of all shake well the bottle of ink. Then using the 5cc syringe provided with the kit, fill the syringe with color fluid. Put in the needle into color cell carefully and through appropriate wick. Slowly pour in color fluid into edible ink cartridge while watching that excess fluid does not overflow through the top vent hole or the wick. This way, clean syringe thoroughly and repeat each color.
